It's certainly better these days - reliably functional for sure - but the Fumbbl FFB client still beats it in a lot of areas, particularly in terms of UI, ease of use, and historical stat tracking.

Still can't believe the cheek of Cyanide developing a sequel before the original (with two expansions) is feature-complete. I sincerely hope they'll be going down the Train Simulator route with a free upgrade. They won't, but still.

Generate a very large quantity of random numbers using your function and then plot the distribution. I've had to do this several times with functions using Python's random number generator and it's produced the expected distribution each time, and I know that while it occasionally leads to weird outcomes this is the nature of statistical data; sometimes the less likely thing does happen.

Also Warhammer 40K Chess is either an inspired pisstake or the stupidest thing I've seen in years, and until I see more than a teaser trailer I won't be able to decide which.

I did do a couple of board game reviews when I started the blog but I ran into the problem that I boardgame infrequently and play each one maybe two or three times, max. I don't consider this anywhere near enough to get a good impression of their nuances and flaws, and so reviews would end up being pretty shallow and based mostly on a first-time play, which usually the best/worst experience with the game in question.

Blood bowl is fine on Cyanide - they changed servers last year and I've seen much improved performance since then. In the OCC (250 person league that I am in) we need maybe 5 or 6 resets a week out of 120 games. The game has also been beautifully reverse-engineered by some of the direct IP leagues out there which do not rely on Cyanide at all.

Well, Death Angel is both heavily luck based and possessed of a pretty piss-poor manual, so there's no telling. I view it as more of a solitaire thing anyway, since having more people around doesn't add much beyond someone losing both of their marines far sooner than everyone else and then sitting around until it's over.
