Very very pleasantly surprised by this. And this review build it up for me - and the game really didn't disappoint. It's crazy and it's fun and there were very few tedious and boring moments. Everything is as you say.

One more thing that I would add though - in its way it sells the idea of a customizeable protagonist better than the majority of games that try to do it. Even though you can't change what you say, the fact that you can make the character look and dress however you like, and have a few different voices to choose from AND they have all your lines voiced... well, it really really sells it. Even if I didn't pick the personality, I still felt more attachment to my character than a great deal of RPGs - I knew what she was like and what she did and why she did it. Very well done.

I enjoyed using the upgraded boost on the truck cab to smash my way through everything in the game.

I never got round to playing the co-op. Does it add anything to the game?

My collection of cars in our co-op game is ever-growing. My favourite is the Hammerhead (http://bit.ly/N82nwV) but I was very happy to discover last night that you can customize the cement truck as well.

SR3 is the only game where I've bothered upgrading cars purely for the cosmetic changes. I kept getting side tracked in missions because I'd see a new vehicle and would immediately take it to a garage to see what Volition had decided would be a sensible thing to add to it.

Also if you didn't play the game with the female Hispanic voice then you missed out.
