Ha, I'm actually going to try and cut down on the review length in future -- back when I started they were around 1,500 - 2,000 words each, and now they've crept up to 4,000 - 5,000 words each. Which there isn't any inherent problem with, except it takes me so long to write one that even when I'm in the mood to write my posting frequency is, understandably, not what it once was (I have no idea how I managed to do it weekly for two years while holding down a full-time job). Much as I enjoy deconstructing a game in this much detail, I think keeping up the regular momentum of posting at least biweekly is more important and results in me writing more overall.

Still, glad you found it all relevant, and I think this one would have ended up being a long one regardless because I really do like giant robots. :P

Nope, the only issue is that whenever I try and change anything on the underlying Wordpress site code I undergo a major stress episode because last time I tried that I bricked it and had to restore from backup. That's a good tip though, I'll look into it as and when I muster up the courage to try fiddling with things again.

When I write giant comments (and your posts are thought-provoking enough for me to usually want to always do it) I use Chrome devtools to make iframe css have bigger max-height number. Doesn't seem to cause any other problems. Is it restricted to add new css to this page?

I think I've pretty much hit the sweet spot in the campaign. I just completed the LIberation of Panzyr, and at the moment, I'm getting 2.5 - 4 skull drops, which can be pretty much anything. I'm running two heavies, one medium and one light at the moment, and I can end up facing anything from 12 light mechs (Which ended in the death of my Cataphract pilot when a Commando B caught him in the head with an SRM and L Laser in consecutive turns), to my mission last night against 4 Orions and a Commando. That one ended up killing another pilot as three Orions focused down my Hunchback P and cored him in a turn and a half. The missions are challenging for the most part, an occasional dud thrown in, but it's not simply "Grab four 100 tonners and plow through the opposition" like most of my post campaign missions were.

P.S. I swear to god that at some point I'm going to get around to fixing the comments so that writing a long one on Chrome doesn't require you to post half of it and then edit the rest of it in. Unfortunately this is going to require a quite disproportionate amount of work for the payoff involved, so it's something I'll only attempt next time I have both a few days off and sufficient mental fortitude to tackle it.
