What does that mean — how can you “commit a crime” against a universe? Also, why would it matter, anyway, since a universe doesn’t care about what its lifeforms consider acceptable or not? Note that our Universe could just crush us like a bug if it “wanted” to.

Who uses cheap pop movies to measure the quality of a civilization’s intellectual development? In general, truly _great_ works of art are the exception, not the rule, everywhere.

The thing that really confused me about Transformers 2 is how Megan Fox could spend all that time in the desert, without getting any sand stuck to her lip gloss. They should get a patent on that stuff.

(The Rock and Bad Boys may be less offensive on the basis that they were made before cheap CGI special effects were a thing, and so they are shot in a manner that befits what they are: dumb action movies. That doesn’t stop them from being *bad* like dumb action movies.)

I enjoyed the first Transformers film. The second and third were awful though.

Also The Rock and the first Bad Boys are fun too.

The truly frightening thing is that Michael Bay is an auteur, with recognizable themes and style. He has been allowed to become a mature artist. Think about that and weep.
